Tech Tools That Simplify My Business

Blog, Business Life, Direct Sales

I’m all about ease and figuring out how to make it easier to get the job done, and get it done well. Over the years I’ve found so many tools that support the growth of my business and thought you might find some of them valuable too! I’ve broken them down into categories to hopefully help you find the tool or resource that can best support you as you need them.

Remember, you don’t need to use all these tools to have a successful business. These resources should only be implemented if they support your goals.

Staying Organized

ClickUp*

I need a place to be able to put all my tasks and prioritize them. ClickUp allows me to put tasks in a calendar format so I know what absolute needs to be done each day. This includes follow up with customers and tasks for parties and building my business. I also use it to keep information on all my customers and my on hand inventory.

Full Focus Planner

I still love the combo of a digital and paper planner. My choice is the Full Focus Planner. It is such a simple process that it walks me through each week and helps to keep me on track to do the most I can that goings to produce the most income.

Creating Graphics and Finding Images

Canva

I am not a graphic designer. And I often feel that if I can get some inspiration to get started creating the graphics I need. Canva makes it so easy to create beautiful graphics easily. They have a great free option, however you’ll quickly find the value in a pro account!

Stock Images

I love using my own images where I can. It makes these so much more authentic and real, plus I can utilize the product and show it off. However, there are times when I need a stock photo for a blog post or a social post so I can get something up quickly! Some of the sites I like to use are Kaboompics, Pexels and Unsplash.

It is important to remember that you can’t just pull picture off of Google and use them in your marketing. You have to use photos that give permission to be used.

Email Marketing

Email is one of my favorite things to talk about and has such an incredible impact on my business. I also love how I can set up automations for when someone becomes a customer or a team member so that they get all the important information and I don’t have to make sure it goes out manually.

My favorite tool for this is ConvertKit.* However there are many options out there for you to try as well.

What Kind of Color Street Stylist Are You?

Thinking about adding Color Street to your career path?
I’d love to see you join my team but before you do, what kind of business do you think you’re ready to build?

Social Media

What platforms you chose to be on is totally up to you. I’m sharing what I like to use to help me with this, but this doesn’t mean that you have to be on all of them!

Facebook and Instagram

When it comes to scheduling posts I like to use a combination of Facebook’s Business Suite planner and Tailwind. I typically schedule my posts on Instagram through Tailwind because I like how it helps me come up with hashtags that are appropriate for my post. Those posts also show up in my business suite planner. I go in weekly and duplicate those posts for a week later on Facebook.

Pinterest

Pinterest is a great traffic driver to my website. Posting natively in the platform can be time consuming. I love using Tailwind and get all my posts scheduled one day a month.

Headliner

Building video content is great and I love headliner to make things easier. In my marketing business we use it to create audio snippets of the episodes but you can use it for a variety of pieces of content.

Boards

Boards is an incredible app that allows you to keep content you use regularly saved so that you can easily pull them up when you’re in messenger, social media etc. That way you don’t have to type it on your phone all the time. PLUS you can share your boards with your team so it’s a great way to provide additional resources and training.

Vizzlie

I love that Vizzlie lets me schedule posts to groups and not just pages on Facebook. It is also a great way to set up templates for your online parties or share templates within your teams.

Finally, I also love that the plan includes the ability to text my audience. I send weekly texts that I can presechedule so my customers get weekly updates and reminders.

    Events

There are lots of types of events that take place in this business.

      • parties.
      • team trainings.
      • customer appreciation events.

These are my favorite tools to make them effective and increase attendance.

      Eventable

This allows me to create a link that people can use to add events to their calendar. I love using these inside of my Facebook events so I don’t have to rely on Facebook notifications only to remind people that the event is coming up.

      Zoom

I think I use Zoom daily. Everyone is very comfortable with the platform and it’s great if you want more interaction with your attendees vs a Facebook live.

I’ll keep adding new tools as I find them so make sure you check this list often! If you’re following me on Instagram or Facebook then you’ll see the updates there as well.

Have a tool you just can’t live without!!! Share them with me in the comments below!
